Council seeking Expressions of Interest for 821 Fergusson Drive

Upper Hutt City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for short-term commercial opportunities at 821 Fergusson Drive.

Demolition work of the building, that was previously occupied by Ammu South Indian Restaurant, Make$ Cents and Longhorn Steak and Alehouse, was completed in June.

The site is in an excellent location and with plenty of foot traffic.

Council is seeking a temporary lease for the empty site for around three years.

Plans were initially made for a temporary greenspace with an unpaved walkway.

The land was originally bought by Council for the purpose of road realignment.

While road realignment is not immediately required, it may be needed in the future.

Submission of responses

Expressions of Interest responses must be emailed to brett.latimer@uhcc.govt.nz(External link) and received by 12.00pm, Friday 11 October 2024.

Expressions of Interest must be:

• Received by the deadline specified or they may not be considered.
• No more than five (5) A4 pages. Project sheets and curriculum vitae can be attached in addition to this page limit.
• Submitted in electronic format only as a single file in pdf format.
• Sent by email marked “EOI for short-term commercial activity at 821 Fergusson Drive".
  Note: hard copies of the expression of interest are not required to be submitted.
